I cannot believe it’s almost November! We don’t host Thanksgiving, but I try to pull together a seasonal centerpiece nonetheless. I love adding a handmade, crafted touch to everything I do. One of my services is holiday and event styling, and I am finding some fabulous inspiration for this season around the interwebs.

This leaf garland is so simple, but it’s all you need for your Thanksgiving table. It can be easily crafted from fallen leaves and fishing line.

Ombre has been a huge trend in fashion and home décor. Here’s another simple DIY project using tissue paper and glass hurricanes.

Oh, nuts. Never thought of them as a filler for hurricanes. The acorns and walnuts add an organic feel to the classic hurricane centerpiece.

Here’s a more dramatic table setting, using table runners horizontally to serve as placemats for two. I’d love to do deep plum napkins paired with the crisp white linen table runners, and these copper gourds instead of the rustic twig pumpkins.

This would scream “traditional” without the solid brown napkin, pair of pheasant feathers, and cobalt blue glassware to shake it up. I think this is my favorite!

This burlap table runner tied with twine gives a casual elegance to a long, imposing table.

Another call for casual elegance: tying the good silver with scraps of whimsically patterned fabric. In this case, the fabric is from storied Liberty London, but more pedestrian brands work just as well.
